Sometimes I get emails with great questions! I thought I’d share a recent one.
(Side note: We teach 7 Levels of Energy Leadership. It’s a way for organizations to have containers and common language for what they’re experiencing as individuals and as a culture. Using “level 2, 5, and 6” in the following email exchange is a reference to those 7 Levels).
How do you get to that level (6?) of win-win? Meaning how do you not feel jealous or upset when others are succeeding?
I’ve never worked for an organization that included a goal and measurable outcome of success by how well we loved each other.
But I think all organizations should have one.
Neuroscientist, Jill Bolte Taylor, woke up experiencing a stroke in 1996 and lost her ability to speak, read, talk, walk or remember her past within a span of four hours. Since she studied the brain, she gained incredible insight about how the two hemispheres function. (more…)

If you answered yes, you may have a tendency toward introversion.
Introvert describes a type of person who focuses inward toward ideas and images. They get their energy from being alone. Think of them as deep wells of water from which to slowly draw out something refreshing. (more…)
I used to compromise my time, energy and emotional wellbeing on anyone in my world who vocalized they were in need. I feel deeply. I want to understand others. And I believed I could be the answer, or at the very least provide the answer, for everyone who needed saving.
Thankfully I quit.
At first it felt selfish to not take on the burdens of others and self-preserve, but over time I’ve learned that for the benefit of myself and those I do life with, it’s essential to create a win-win or just step away from the game. (more…)
